Voting Question: Some Help On Choosing The Right COMPONENT SPEAKERS?

Okay so I have been looking around on the internet...sonicelectronix.com, woofersetc.com, and onlinecarstereo.com for a descent set of component speakers. My price range is between 200-250. I have been doing some research and there seems to be a problem with every damn speaker ever made below 5000 dollars. I heard the Diamond Audio Hex's tweets blew too easily, Focals access and polyglass line had much distortion at higher levels, the MB Quart Premiums tweet were to bright to be placed anywhere....Polk Momos were lacking on midbass... and on and on and on......anyone have any suggestions? anyone that has had multiple sets of splits and can tell me some pro's and con's.
